Chase Christie grew up in Orrville, Ohio, and currently is a student at Orrville High School. He picked up his first guitar at the age of 12. His early influences included bands such as Mötley Crüe, the Scorpions, Tesla, and Metallica, but more recently, his guitar style touches more modern influences such as Lamb of God, Bullet for my Valentine, and All That Remains.  Chase was part of a number of small musical projects in the past, but didn’t go anywhere with them until the formation of Taken in Vain.
